As director of curriculum innovation, Zoe Johnson leads the School of Social Work in our Council on Social Work Education, reaffirmation of the accreditation process. In addition, she chairs the ad-hoc task committee for conceptualizing, piloting, and launching the School’s Practice and Research Clinic. A licensed clinical social worker, Dr. Johnson has over twenty years of practice experience in direct service provision and administrative leadership in multiple settings, including clinical counseling, student success initiatives, and higher education leadership. Before stepping into her current role, Dr. Johnson served as Director of Field Education for the School of Social Work. She successfully stewarded the signature pedagogy of practicum education for approximately 2,700 BSW and MSW students during her six years of service. Johnson has received several awards, including the Outstanding Campus Collaboration Award from the UGA Division of Student Affairs and Advisor of the Year by the UGA chapter of the NAACP.
